More Details About the Program:

Hockey equipment can be stressful, especially if you are new to hockey and are unsure what you need.

The purpose of our LFYH equipment rental program is to aid families in providing safe and functional equipment that have younger or newer kids in hockey. Also, to save you the cost of having to buy gear year after year.  It’s a great program as younger kids grow out of gear quickly, and the cost of new gear yearly can add up just as fast.

Our primary age group that we get grants to provide equipment for is 10u aged players and younger (typically ice mite-1st year squirts.)

We do have equipment that has been donated over the years for older aged kids, however we do not have a large selection and we cannot guaranatee  that we will have everything you child would need.  You may need to purchase an item on your own if we don’t have the size you’d need.

A couple great options for used equipment sales are play it again sports in Baxter or St. Cloud, sideline swap, and Craigslist for used equipment. For new equipment Michelle from our pro shop has equipment, Pure Hockey, Scheels, and Dicks all have hockey supplies.

The cost of the program is 75 dollars up front. If you turn back in ALL of your issued gear in working condition you will receive 25 dollars back at turn in.  If you miss equipment turn in, you will not get your 25-dollar refund.

If you do not turn in your all your gear, you will be charged the amount it would cost to replace what you’re missing.

If your child outgrows their equipment or a piece of equipment breaks during regular use, replacement equipment can be arranged at no additional cost.

Lastly, if your child chooses to keep the equipment for the summer to participate in a camp/ summer program the charge to keep the equipment for the off season is 25 dollars.
